Made In Person, LLC (“Made In Person,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to being transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Made In Person is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, and it operates an independent music media platform at https://madeinperson.com (the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors of the Site. The Site is browse-only and does not require you to create an account. We collect personal information only through the specific channels described below.

2. Information We Collect

Newsletter signup.

When you voluntarily subscribe to the Made In Person newsletter through Mailchimp, we collect your email address and any optional information you choose to provide. You will automatically receive a welcome email when you sign up. We use your email address solely for newsletter communications, and we will never sell or share it with third parties.

Artist submissions.

Artists who wish to submit music or biographical information for consideration do so through an off-site Google Form. The information collected through this form includes your name, artist or band name, contact email, genre, location, streaming links, social media handles, and a short biographical statement. This information is stored in Google’s infrastructure and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy in addition to this Policy. We use this information solely to evaluate artist submissions and to follow up by email about potential features, playlist placement, or radio consideration. We do not sell, license, or share this information with third parties.

Cookies and tracking.

Made In Person does not currently set its own first-party cookies. However, third-party services embedded on the Site — including Live365, Spotify, Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel — may independently collect data, including cookies, IP addresses, device information, and usage behavior, when you interact with embedded content or browse the Site. Made In Person does not control the data practices of these third-party services.

3. Third-Party Services and Embedded Content

The Site relies on the third-party services listed below. Each service has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your information. We encourage you to review them.

Live365.

The Made In Person radio station is powered by an embedded Live365 stream. Live365 may collect data independently when you interact with the stream. You can review Live365’s privacy practices at https://live365.com/legal/privacy.

Spotify.

We embed Spotify playlists on the Site. Spotify may independently collect data when you interact with embedded players. You can review Spotify’s privacy practices at https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/privacy-policy/.

Google Forms.

Artist submissions are processed through Google Forms. Data submitted through Google Forms is stored on Google’s infrastructure and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Mailchimp.

Newsletter email addresses are stored and managed through Mailchimp. Mailchimp’s privacy practices govern the storage and processing of subscriber data. You can review Mailchimp’s privacy policy at https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/.

Google Analytics.

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about site traffic and usage patterns, including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location. We use this data solely to understand how visitors interact with the Site and to improve the user experience. Google Analytics data is processed by Google subject to its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Meta Pixel.

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our content and to understand how visitors interact with the Site. The Meta Pixel may collect behavioral data subject to Meta’s data practices and privacy policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

• To send newsletter communications to subscribers who have opted in;
• To evaluate and follow up on artist submissions; and
• To understand site traffic and improve the user experience through analytics.

Made In Person does not sell, rent, license, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

5. The Human Pledge — AI Data Commitment

Made In Person exists to protect and celebrate human artistry. This section is our binding commitment to our visitors, subscribers, and submitting artists regarding artificial intelligence and your data.

We will never use any personal information, submitted artist content, or user data collected through this Site to train, develop, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model.

We will never license or transfer user data or submitted content to any third party for artificial-intelligence training purposes.

This commitment applies to all data collected through the Made In Person website, newsletter, and artist submission process. It is a core term of our relationship with everyone who visits, subscribes to, or submits content to Made In Person.

6. Email Communications and Unsubscribe

When you subscribe to the Made In Person newsletter, you consent to receive email communications from us, including a welcome email upon signup and periodic newsletters afterward.

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email. We process unsubscribe requests promptly and in accordance with Mailchimp’s platform capabilities.

Made In Person does not send unsolicited commercial email.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it:

• We retain newsletter subscriber email addresses until you unsubscribe or request deletion;
• We retain artist submission data for as long as necessary to evaluate the submission and to maintain an editorial record.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at privacy@madeinperson.com.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Made In Person website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to Made In Person, please contact us at privacy@madeinperson.com.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Information stored through third-party platforms, including Google and Mailchimp, is also subject to those platforms’ own security practices.

10. Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• Request correction or deletion of your personal information; and
• Withdraw your consent for newsletter communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Made In Person, LLC is a limited liability company organized under the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act, and it elects Delaware law to govern all privacy-related matters arising under this Policy.

A few features of Delaware law inform this Policy. A limited liability company formed under the Act is a separate legal entity. (Del. Code Ann. tit. 6, § 18-201.) The party responsible for this Site and this Policy is Made In Person, LLC itself, not any individual.

Under the Act, the debts, obligations, and liabilities of a limited liability company — whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise — are solely those of the company, and no member or manager is personally liable for them solely by reason of being a member or acting as a manager. (Del. Code Ann. tit. 6, § 18-303.) Delaware’s policy is also to give maximum effect to the principle of freedom of contract and to the enforceability of limited liability company agreements. (Del. Code Ann. tit. 6, § 18-1101.)

12. Updates to This Policy

Made In Person reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in platform features, third-party services, or applicable law. We will communicate material changes to newsletter subscribers by email and note them on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
